Cerebral Corridor Creator Set (CCC)

A tubular brain retractor for minimal invasive brain surgery. It is composed of three parts: soft retraction balloon and a transparent tube. The balloon is used to retract the brain tissue and create surgical corridor by gradually inflating and deflating of the balloon. The tube is used to fix and maintain the corridor, and protect brain during the operation to avoid surgical injury.

Key advantages of CCC:

• Unique concept in which approach and positioning of the brain-retractor are combined in one product.
• Soft dilation by the balloon which minimizes the increase of the intracranial pressure.
• Physical pressure is applied equally and radially on the brain tissue surrounding the tube which minimizes the amount of brain injury compared to traditional flat retractor blades. There is less chance of bleeding and no need for repeated electrocautery.
• The transparent circular tube wall gives a clearly visible operation view to the neurosurgeons, avoids overlap of tissue in the field of view and helps to observe the surrounding tissue.
• The tube can prevent the secondary damage of the surgical instrument to the surrounding brain tissue and avoid brain tissue collapse, to facilitate the resection.
